MALICIOUS DAMAGE BY LABOR PARTY WORKERS AT POLLING BOOTH 21/3/2007
Last night (March 20th) after the pre-poll at Auburn closed, a large wooden easel supporting my corflute and a box of how-to-votes was smashed by throwing it from the top level of the carpark inside the building onto the lower level. The suspected culprits are some young men who were being paid working by the Labor Party to hand out their how to votes. They are suspects as they had already been reprimanded by the Returning Officer previously. for damaging the corflute.
These people are the same kind of scum who took part in the revenge attacks on Cronulla, Maroubra and Brighton on December 12th, 2005, armed with guns, clubs, knives and baseball bats in which people were assaulted and property was destroyed but who have remained at large and uncharged because they have the protection of the Labor Party, coming partly from Morris Iemma's electorate, and also, frankly, because they are so heavily armed and violent the police are afraid of them.
Destroying another candidate's election material on a booth is a very serious offence, especially when it happens on the premises of the State Electoral Office, as it is an attempt to interfere with the democratic political process.
As these people were in the employ of the Labor Party I intend to ask the Labor Party to pay for the damage.
