OUR OWN GOVERNMENT IS NOW OUR BIGGEST SECURITY RISK
Our own Federal Government is our biggest security risk.
Events in recent days have proved Mr Howard, Mr Ruddock and Co. wouldn't know a terrorist if they tripped over one.
They haven't read their own fridge magnets that tell them to "look out for Australia"..
If a foreign doctor here is found to have active links with a terror cell how did he get into the country in the first place?
If the so-called "Lebanese Australians" recently arrested and charged with terror offences in the Middle East are found guilty, why weren't they under observation here and prevented from leaving the country?
Thousands of doctors and other allegedly skilled workers are coming in under 457 visas with inadequate security checks, no command of English and questionable qualifications, as long as an employer will sponsor them.
This is economic rationalism, globalisation and the ultimate borderless world.
It is also rank stupidity.
If it is not possible to adequately screen foreign workers, then don't bring them in, because we don't need them.
Bright young Australians who would like to train to be doctors or nurses are being forced to work in demeaning jobs on low wages and in inferior conditions under the new workplace laws because our Government will not fund enough university places for Australians.
And if there is a shortage of doctors in the bush, the Government should offer scholarships to school leavers from rural areas to train in medicine, as long as they go back to their home towns to practice after qualifying.
One Nation says to our Government give our kids a chance, train our own doctors, give us real border security and for a change serve the taxpayers who voted you in and who pay your salary.
