One Nation Has a Message for George Bush Over The Guantanamo Bay Resettlement Fiasco - Keep Your Rubbish To Yourself

The secret proposal by the Rudd Labor Government to allow Guantanamo inmates to resettle here has dumbfounded Australian voters. As the Tampa episode, successive public opinion polls on immigration and the current talkback radio meltdown have shown, the underhand move is in direct opposition to the wishes of the Australian people.

Acting Prime Minister Julia Gillard is reported by The Australian to have said last week "For anyone to be accepted they would have to meet Australia's strict legal requirement and go through normal rigorous assessment processes" but seeing this comes from the party that let "cat's-meat" Hilaly stay in the country to shore up the Labor vote in Blaxland her words don't fill us with much confidence.

The truth is, in accordance with Labor's socialist ideal of a borderless world, there are no legal requirements for entering Australia that can't be circumvented and to describe current assessment processes as "rigorous " is like describing the Rudd Government as "responsible".

If it's good enough to send our diggers to Afghanistan to put their lives on the line against "suspected militants" for what unearthly reason would our Government consider bringing "suspected militants" into our country?

Australians are sick of their country being made the dumping ground for all the rubbish of the world.

Australians are also sick of hearing about moral obligations under the United Nations Refugee Convention - the Australian Government's first moral obligation is to protect the security and welfare of the Australian people.

Anyone interned in Guantanamo Bay was under suspicion for a good reason and whatever the reason it should be enough to make our Government say in a loud voice as it turns them away "No".
