As a child I had a old book full of black and white cartoon stories, about a character called "Fudge" and trees that could move. There are trees around this area that brought me straight back to memories of that book.

This has been my favourite tree for YEARS!

This area was once the home to mahogany and other species of tree. It is hard to imagine what it was like, but these massive ones do help.

The variety is immense.

Buildings and fences are often built around them.

Ok, ok, this tree takes the cake. Behind it, as you walk into this 1845 churchyard, is a tall clump of bamboo that creaks even when it's very still (i reckon). There's a lot of history to tell of here...

White gums though, are my favourite, so Aussie.
