ALGA turns 30

PHOTO: Gary Jaynes at the Pride March in St Kilda on 3 February 2008

THE AUSTRALIAN LESBIAN AND GAY ARCHIVES TURNS 30 IN 2008. IF YOU ARE NOT YET A MEMBER, THIS IS AN IDEAL TIME TO BECOME ONE - THE ARCHIVES ARE SET TO BECOME LARGER THAN EVER IN 2008.

The Australian Lesbian and Gay Archives is housed in the basement of 6 Claremont Street, South Yarra, the Peter Knight Centre. The area is not large enough for the whole collection, as the Archives doesn't have a permanent home, an area large enough to have the whole collection open for display. Those wishing to search or research have found the Archives to be of major assistance.

The Archives has a membership from which most of its funds for continued operation derive. Donations have also helped considerably over the years. However ongoing membership is the major source of funding and joining now will help maintain the collection and help it to grow.

Details of how to join are on the flyers below, and all you need to do is print out a membership application form and send it to the address below.
